Itsc (Information Technology Society of Cameroon)

the information technology society of cameroon (itsc) is a npo with the aim of developing the it industry in cameroon, mainly by creating both an online community and a professional body of it practitioners. our main sectors of actions are: education & empowerment, career opportunity, and entrepreneurship. education & empowerment: we work with both rural communities and secondary schools by providing them with computer hardware and by gathering volunteers and organising tutoring sessions. the tutors usually remain in contact with the tutees and guide them through the online community. career opportunity: by having both jobs seekers and jobs providers involved in the itsc, we ease the task of hiring/being hired for both parties. we organise networking events, usually with an theme related to an it trend in africa or worldwide. besides, some of our hottest events are competitions in which we enable talented people to demonstrate theirs skills. prizes can vary from financial retributions,
