government of india established ‘invest india’ as the national investment promotion & facilitation agency in december 2009. a not-for-profit company, invest india is a jv between the department of industrial policy and promotion, ministry of commerce and industry (dipp), state governments of india and ficci. the unique structure of invest india positions it to work seamlessly with various government of india ministries / departments, state governments and the corporate leadership across india. invest india acts as the first reference point for investors investing into india. it addresses a range of investor queries / concerns, and facilitates their goal of taking an investment decision. “make in india” is india’s new national program designed to transform india into a global manufacturing hub. under this initiative, invest india has set up an investor facilitation cell to act as primary support for all investment queries and for providing handholding and liaisoning services to invest
