invest4nature is an eu-funded horizon europe research and innovation project in the driving the creation of markets for nature-based solutions through the economic valuation of its multiple benefits to the environment, society and economy. the world is facing a severe climate and environmental crisis. nature-based solutions (nbs) are a key measure in tackling this challenge in the eu's green deal. though efforts in nbs implementation for climate change mitigation and resilience are increasing, its full economic and societal benefits are not yet fully understood. there is a lack of economic evidence to back the business and investment case for nbs despite their potentials in e.g. mitigating climate-driven floods and urban heat island effects, or their ability to increase citizen well-being whilst improving biodiversity. over the course of 4 years, 15 partners will contribute to a better understanding of the economic and financial performance of nature-based solutions. the improved unde
