investors in engineering limited was formed to acquire traditional, niche, engineering businesses from vendors who are seeking to retire and where there is significant risk that the business involved may close if a suitable buyer isn’t found – thereby helping to ensure that key skills are retained within the engineering industry and maintaining continuity of supply for the business’ customers. through it's main operating subsidiary, charles leek & sons limited, the group operates two sites in leek and copley (halifax) and specialises in gear manufacturing (and related products) and the machining of large and difficult to hold parts. it is also able to offer its customers a broad range of machining services, focused on one offs and small batch production, where the key skill is the ability to problem solve and deliver a cost effective solution for the customer. the group continues to seek further acquisitions that broaden the range of capabilities that customers can be offered.
