Iowa Business Council

the iowa business council (ibc) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization whose members are chief decision makers of major iowa employers and serve as thought leaders for the state of iowa. one in six jobs in iowa is tied to an ibc company. ibc member companies have invested billions of dollars of capital in iowa's commercial infrastructure; lead in technology innovation, r&d, and grants procured; and, are often the driving financial and volunteer force behind philanthropic efforts large and small all over the state. the ibc members work to elevate iowa's long-term economic vitality by strengthening the state's workforce and overall economy through different initiatives that are identified by the council's research. the council releases an annual iowa competitiveness index and quarterly economic outlook survey, both of which analyze the current state of iowa's economy. ibc member companies include: ruan transportation management systems, vermeer corporation, iowa bankers association, hn
