iq healthcare is a scientific department of the radboud university medical centre in the netherlands. we are committed to quality improvement in healthcare. we think patients should receive the best possible and evidence-based care which is in tune with the values of every patient. we perform scientific and applied research projects, and provide education and policy support in quality, safety and ethics in healthcare. our focus is on healthcare professionals, healthcare services, policymakers as well as future health care providers. a flow of approximately 80 national and international research projects is continuously covered by iq healthcare, together with involvement in several educational programmes. our scientific approach is aimed at value-driven healthcare for patients, healthcare professionals, healthcare insurers as well as the government, in order to decrease unnecessary costs in our healthcare system. various scientific perspectives (such as medical, economic, sociologic and
