iris' laser division focuses on advanced laser manufacturing, particularly laser welding and additive manufacturing. iris laser employs engineers and scientists with a strong background in industrial laser and cnc machining. from this knowledge and expertise as well as from the successful partnerships with local and international smes and research organisations are born iris’ most successful ideas and projects. iris' laser division develops smart self adaptive solutions for the efficient exploitation of laser processes: cutting, welding, direct metal deposition. iris is also involved the development of the next generation additive manufacturing machines. iris laser specialises on process definition and characterisation using performance indicators such as production time reduction, cost savings and energy & resource efficiency. active projects regard mainly the development of reconfigurable machines and processes for additive and subtractive manufacturing.
