iris' sustainability division enrolls a team of professionals specializing in sustainabile innovation, that are currently working on three main projects: (1) treatment of water and liquid foodstuff; (2) treatment of solid waste; (3) solutions for off-grid applications. - water and liquid foodstuff treatment. iris' water treatment solutions are based on a patent pending device that uses nanopulsed high voltage electric discharges to treat the water, by abating the microbial charge and the content of organic pollutants. iris also developed a similar solution, optimized for the abatement of the microbial content of liquid foodstuff, particularly raw milk: the patent pending technology has the same biocide effect of pasteurisation, but works below body temperature, therefore leaving unaffected those nutritional and organoleptic elements that make consumers choose raw milk above pasteurised milk. - waste treatment. iris' patented solution for treatment of solid waste treats waste thermally
