we are a dynamic youth organisation providing enjoyable educational activities for girls and young women aged 5-26 and exciting leader opportunities for women over 18. igg is a registered charity in ireland and is compliant with the governance code and the principles of fundraising. we have a strong emphasis on the teamwork, community responsibility, outdoors and environment. the girls’ self-esteem and leadership skills are developed as they progress through guiding. the irish girl guides actively promotes diversity and inclusion. an adult member of irish girl guides has demonstrated leadership ability, focussed on self development and acquired a significant cross transferable skillset which is relevant and valuable not just in a volunteering capacity but in the workplace and wider society. units meet on a weekly basis and are run by local volunteer leaders who are given training and support from other volunteers and staff. the irish girl guides has four different branches defined by t
