founded in 2004 irizar southern africa, moved to the current premises in 2006. from the outset the company has been wholly owned by the irizar group. the facility houses a pkd production operation where coach bodies fully built and imported from irizar brazil are mated to locally assembled chassis supplied by major european brands. sales volumes are also bolstered by additional units imported fully built in brazil. the operation supplies all of southern africa operating right-hand drive vehicles. the premises which is located just outside south africa’s capital, pretoria sits astride the major highway into southern africa and accommodates coach production, coach repairs, spare parts, sales and administration facilities. the only european coach manufacturer represented in the southern african market, irizar has gained and maintains a reputation for safety, quality and comfort as befits the global values of the brand.
