Iron Dad Costumes

i'm a brisbane based (australian) cosplayer, costume/props maker and father. i've been cosplaying for 4 years now. my main reason for getting into cosplay was to have a unique hobby to share with my children - something that will be special just to us and will continue to be so no matter how old they grow. i make each of my costumes and my kids costumes. i've made costumes out of fibreglass and body filler, foam and fabrics. i try to learn something new, and push my boundaries with each costume i make and have acquired many new skills including how to wire electronics and write arduino code and recently learned to sew (the basics anyway). my kids are involved in the process from choosing which costumes to make, the design and then helping out with the build where they can. in addition to attending cosplay conventions, i also participate in community and charity events in my costumes to assist and raising money for a cause or just to bring smiles to the faces of kids (and those that ar
