flexibility and cost efficiency in development are central factors in competitiveness. we at irpd ag are leaders in the methods and technologies to reduce development periods for new products. the use and further development of ancillary production processes, technologies known as layered manufacturing, are part of our core expertise. ancillary produced components have been produced in st. gallen, switzerland, for 20 years. early in the company's history the focus was on research and development of additive technologies. in june 2015 the inspire ag and the united grinding group formed the irpd joint venture. irpd forms the center of excellence for additive manufacturing within the united grinding group. we are focused on the manufacture of industrial metal or plastic prototypes and the production of (small) series of complex or tailored components. the focus is on additive production processes, in particular selective laser sintering (sls), selective laser melting (slm) and 3d printing
