i̇şbank/turkey was founded by mustafa kemal atatürk on the date of 26.08.1924. as the largest private bank in turkey that has more than 25 thousand employees; around 1,300 local and overseas branches; the largest atm network in turkey consisting of over 6,000 atms. i̇şbank members' supplementary pension fund founded by the bank’s employees holds the largest share of i̇şbank’s capital with 40.15%. a portion of 31.76% of the bank’s stocks are on free float. i̇şbank has direct participations in 23 companies. in addition to its overseas branches in the turkish republic of northern cyprus, united kingdom, georgia, kosovo, iraq and bahrain. i̇şbank has two representative offices, one in china and one in egypt as well.
