Isi Buckley Society at Indiana University

the isi buckley society exists to promote the american traditions of freedom, liberty, and classical liberalism. we hope to foster an atmosphere of free debate and growth and to further the goals and ideals of conservatism. we work to achieve these goals by bringing compelling and thought provoking speakers and lecturers to campus and sponsoring robust debate. we also seek to provide resources to students to further their educational attainment and understanding of the various schools of thoughts and principles surrounding intellectual conservatism, free market economics, and american polity. through the resources provided by the intercollegiate studies institute, we hope to further their mission of "inspiring college students to discover, embrace, and advance the principles and virtues that make america free and prosperous." at our core, we believe that, as william f. buckley jr., the man whom this organization is named after, once said, "conservatism is the politics of reality and th
