at islandtechies we don't teach people how to code. we teach people how to be industry ready programmers. our ultimate goal is to help people get jobs they love in tech and turn cebu into a world class tech community. filipinos are smart, hard working and fluent in english. but 40% live on less than $2 a day. 22% of unemployed filipinos have college degrees, many of them in engineering. and yet: it’s estimated that there will be 1 million computer programming jobs left vacant by 2020 because of a lack of qualified developers. this makes no sense. so we at island techies are changing it!
