Isle of Arts

isle of arts holds an annual arts festival in april to promote artistic talent on the isle of wight. our core aim is to develop a sustainable mechanism to provide prosperity, opportunity and aspiration for the island community. we do this by levering some of the isle of wight's assets – tourism, a strong artistic heritage and a large indigenous arts community. isle of arts embraces a wide range of artistic endeavour, including music, literature, poetry, drama, film, photography, painting and sculpture. we encourage audiences on the island and further afield to revel in the creative process. we promote the work of island artists to new audiences, nurture new island talent and further enhance the island’s status as a centre of artistic excellence. we are creating opportunities for islanders and visitors of all ages to experience top quality work by artists of national calibre, with the aim of generating awareness of and interest in a broad range of artistic and cultural activities.
