isles health foundation (isfo) was established in 2016 as a non-profitable and non-governmental organization (ngo) dedicated to fight against non-communicable diseases (ncds) in zanzibar, tanzania. currently, isfo has planned to commit nearly $1.9 million to programs and communities around zanzibar. isfo is helping to build healthier community of zanzibar through:- 1. intervention programs focusing on primary prevention of ncds by preventing unhealth behaviors including tobacco use, unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, harmful use of alcohol and obesity and activities related to early detection of diseases, risk factors and complications due to ncds. 2. to improve health services infrastructures in order to alleviate severity of disease and improve health related quality and duration of individual’s life for people with ncds
