marketing theorists believe that scientific marketing originated in the early twentieth century. at that time, marketing was taught as one of the courses in business management at a number of american universities. subsequently, marketing science was aimed at improving the relationship between vendors and customers and responding to ambiguities in customer behavior towards the products and services. the first marketing course in iran was introduced in the 1950s by dr abdul hameed ebrahimi, at the business school (current allameh tabatabai university). many of iran’s marketing professors were honored to take part in his classes. the iranian scientific marketing association was established in 2011 to develop, and promote scientific knowledge of marketing and qualitative development of marketing specialists. it also aims at improving the educational and research affairs in the field of marketing. respected members of board of directors of iranian scientific marketing association are mr .
