israel cycling academy consists out of a worldtour team (israel start-up nation) and a continental team (israel cycling academy) and is israel's first & only pro cycling team. the team was established in 2014 by former israeli pro cyclist ran margaliot and business man & cycling enthusiast ron baron. the team's primary goal is to use the power of cycling in order to bring people together and inspire them to think differently. the team athletes were chosen as "ambassadors of peace & sports" by the peres center for peace. in addition to its pro team, israel cycling academy operates multiple development programs for young cyclists and coaches in israel, aiming to turn cycling into one of the major sports in the country.
