israel for africa (ifa) is a non-profit non-governmental organization (ngo), which seeks to combine africa's potential with israeli ingenuity, innovation and know-how to help africa on the path to sustainable development. israel for africa’s main strategy is to use the knowledge and technological advances achieved in israel in the fields of agriculture, medicine, education, development, water, sanitation, energy and others to empower the people of africa by working in underprivileged populations such as youth groups, women’s groups, people living with hiv and other communities living under the poverty line throughout africa. ifa is committed to changing the lives of thousands in africa through this initiative. by taking an active, public, international role on the african continent with projects and activities geared towards addressing the united nations millennium development goals, israel for africa brings the flag and the face of the jewish homeland and the jewish people to the fore
