iss australia’s legal service provides free legal assistance and casework to parents in australia whose children have been taken or kept overseas without consent and parents in australia seeking access to their children who are living overseas. we can also provide legal advice to people who wish to take their children out of australia and those who wish to prevent their children from leaving australia. our service includes the preparation of return and access applications under the 1980 hague convention on the civil aspects of parental child abduction and applications pursuant to australia's bilateral agreements with egypt and lebanon. the service is provided nation-wide by a team of lawyers based in victoria and new south wales. anyone can access our legal service by calling 1300 657 843 or emailing legal@iss.org.au.
