i̇ga olarak i̇stanbul havalimanı’nın inşaatını gerçekleştirmek ve 25 yıl boyunca işletmesini yapmak üzere 7 ekim 2013 tarihinde kurulduk. yeni havalimanını, i̇stanbul’un kuzeyine, şehir merkezine 35 km mesafede 76 buçuk milyon metrekarelik alana inşa ettik. dört fazda tamamlayacağımız havalimanının, ilk fazı olan yıllık 90 milyon yolcu kapasitesine sahip terminalini ve iki pistini 29 ekim 2018 tarihinde açtık. i̇stanbul havalimanı, tüm fazları tamamlandığında, yıllık 200 milyon yolcuya çıkarılabilir kapasitesi ile 300’den fazla destinasyona uçuş ve 100’e yakın havayolu şirketine ev sahipliği yapacak. yaklaşık 36 bin kişinin çalıştığı i̇stanbul havalimanı projesi tamamlandığında doğrudan 100 bin, yan sektörlerle birlikte 1,5 milyon kişiye yeni istihdam alanı sağlayacak. i̇ga was founded on october 7, 2013 with the purpose of constructing and operating for 25 years istanbul airport. the new airport is constructed over an area of 76,5 million square meters to the north of istanbul, in 35
