54 tahkim hukukçusu ve uzmanı tarafından 27 kasım 2015 tarihinde resmen faaliyete başlayan i̇stanbul tahkim derneği (i̇sta) türkiye’de tahkim hukuku alanına odaklanmış tek sivil toplum kuruluşudur. i̇sta, i̇stanbul’da ve türkiye’de kurulmuş veya kurulacak olan tahkim merkezlerine ulusal ve uluslararası bilinirlik kazandırılması ve tahkim hakemliği-hukukçuluğu alanlarında uzmanlaşmanın geliştirilmesi amaçları ile kurulmuştur. 2016-2018 döneminde faaliyetlerini üç ana eksen üzerinde yürütme kararı alan i̇sta; “hakemlik, tanıtım ve bilgi yayılımı alanlarında kurulan üç komisyonun koordinasyonunda kapsamlı bir faaliyet çerçevesi geliştirmeyi hedeflemektedir.
