the italian cultural institute san francisco (iic san francisco) promotes italian culture and language in its assigned consular area (northern california, oregon, washington, idaho, utah, montana, alaska, hawaii and the pacific islands) by disseminating information about italy, offering scholarships and presenting cultural events such as: art exhibits, film screenings, concerts, lectures, book presentations, poetry readings and round table discussions. the iic has its offices in the spaces of innovit, the first italian culture and innovation hub in the world, the iic will cooperate with the italian trade agency and the italian consulate general in sf with the aim to promote innovative cultural events, with a cross contamination between tech/culture/innovation, showcasing the best italy has to offer.
