as a land-grant university, iowa state’s mission is to focus on research and teaching agriculture, science, military science and engineering to students on our campus. we also stay true to the ideals of land-grant education by focusing on a third mission – sharing research-based knowledge with the people of our state. iowa state university extension and outreach provides learning opportunities to iowa citizens through a variety of ways, one of which is the extension online store, easily accessed by virtually everyone. isu extension and outreach works with each of the educational areas: 4-h youth and development, agriculture and natural resources, community and economic development, and human sciences to produce and distribute information that is research-based and authored by iowa state faculty and staff. located in the extension distribution center, the extension store offers thousands of publications as downloadable pdfs and printed copies at low or no cost. a limited number of pub
