the it pro society association (infotér association) aims to promote the development of hungary's information society, and to highlight the opportunities offered by ict in improving the country's social and economic competitiveness. the association's main activities include representation, information, and providing a platform for communication between public administration, enterprises, and the non-governmental sector. the widely popular professional website infoter.eu is also maintained by the association. this site provides online information resources for researchers, government professionals, and enterprises with an interest in ict. with its own camera crew and journalists, the website has promoted numerous ngos, companies, and other initiatives. the association also serves as the main organizer of two annual events. the infotér conference is held every november in balatonfüred, while the parliament of the information society is held in june at the hungarian parliament.
