italian-art specialises in the creation of paintings, both reproductions and originals. our paintings are executed rigorously by hand by contemporary masters and copyists with exceptional technical skills. we use the same artisan methods as the great old masters of the past, thus guaranteeing works of wonderful craftsmanship. the gliding of the frames and mirrors in fine gold is executed by italian-art’s craftsmen, using one of the oldest techniques to exist, the so called “tecnica a guazzo” (gouache technique). it is a fascinating technique, although known for the difficulty in its elaboration. it’s a procedure that requires different phases and takes several days of processes combined with different elaborate steps before being able to see the end result. the finished work, however, is astounding a work of incredible craftsmanship in this art whose origins are lost to the ages, the process of which has remained the very same since the oldest of times. we at italian-art are capable
