j&j court transcribers, inc. has been in business since 1976 providing quality legal verbatim transcription from audiotape, videotape, and digital media for municipal, state and federal courts and agencies. from humble beginnings as a two-person transcription firm providing transcription services to the local municipal court, j&j has grown into a nationally recognized transcription firm with clients and courts across the united states. j&j is a founding member of the certified transcribers association of new jersey (ctanj) and has been an active member of the american association of electronic reporters and transcribers (aaert) since its inception in 1993. selected as one of eight firms nationally to participate in the initial testing of electronic sound recording in the federal court system in 1981. of the original eight, it appears only three remain in business with j&j being the most successful by far. selected as the primary transcription firm for two of the five federal cour
