it started with a vision and a sketch by two college students in 2004. owners janna rodriguez and oscar torres turned that vision into what is today a bustling kitchen and restaurant in the heart of downtown merced. j&r; tacos opened in 2006, with one goal in mind: create a healthy twist on mexican cuisine everything about j&r; tacos is authentic. from our menu to out methods to our decor. we are a locally owned independent little restaurant on main street with many ideas, a huge heart and a true love for our community.
