j. ember design creates public spaces that work: beautiful, joyful, functional, maintainable, and durable spaces that meet project goals and truly serve the whole community. we believe that great public spaces bring people together and strengthen communities. we love making spaces that bring play and joy to every community, and we believe strongly that all communities should have access to great spaces that meet their needs.  we help envision, plan, design, execute and maintain public spaces. with experience in all parts of the process, our services range from analysis, advice and recommendations, to full design including implementation, up through changes and adjustments down the road— meeting the needs of the public, operators, sponsors, city parameters, and budget constraints. we think the best and strongest work comes from collaboration, so we work closely with the client's team, collaborators, and the community, and we can advise the client to bring in other experts as needed.
