after growing up in rural new mexico, i got hands on experience in construction and automotive repair. then i changed course and got a degree in electrical engineering at the university of new mexico. even before graduating, i began my career with intel corporation at their new mexico manufacturing site, working there for 25 years before retiring. while at intel, i gained a broad range of experience while filling multiple roles in engineering and manufacturing, both as an individual contributor and a manager. i became very proficient in structured problem solving, drawing on my years of hands on experience, combined with technical knowledge to lead teams in finding solutions to difficult problems in semiconductor manufacturing. the problem solving principles are universal, and are applicable in any industry. most of my career involved managing projects, from the trivial to complex multi-million dollar programs. this experience taught me many skills that apply to managing any type of
