'keeping hope alive in young people' jags foundation, an acronym of james andre godfrey smartt-ford, was set up as a not-for-profit community interest company as a lasting tribute to james who was tragically murdered inside streatham ice rink in 2007. the foundation now works with leading organisations to deliver its mission: ’to keep hope alive in young people, through providing opportunities to positively engage in their local communities’ at the heart of the organisation is the recognition that young people provide critical insights into the social issues faced and delivers training, early intervention and preventative programmes to both statutory and voluntary organisations. aims: • to facilitate reconciliation between those affected by violent crime and offenders, and the reintegration of both back into communities • to support individuals and families bereaved of a relative or friend as a result of violent crime • to act as a resource for young people, by providing advice, assist
