founded in 1972, jam industries ltd. began operating in montreal under the trade name of erikson music, and through the 1970’s, witnessed the rapid growth of this quebec-based company. in the 1980’s jam industries widened its scope. in addition to erikson music, jam acquired the korg canada line, and created the erikson pro audio division, which allowed greater focus on important market areas. in april 1986, jam industries purchased full assets of coast wholesale music ltd. and proceeded to transform this western canadian company from a regional distributor into a full-fledged national marketing and sales force, thus ensuring that jam had full national distribution of all of its products. in the 1990’s, building on established strengths, the company expanded. it split the erikson pro audio division into two unique divisions, and dove into the lighting market, distributing martin professional lighting products in canada. additionally, jam industries made its foray into the consumer elec
