the jfdco came in being in 2015 when it staged the first ever jamaica food and drink festival, an annual event which has since grabbed international attention and recently earned the coveted world culinary awards titles for both the caribbean’s best culinary festival and the world’s best culinary festival 2021. the jamaica food and drink brand evolved further in 2021 with the launch of the jamaica food and drink kitchen, the nation’s first ever experience kitchen, a move which offered unique culinary and dining events and reinforced the narrative around ‘cool’ food experiences in kingston. the kitchen is a culinary entertainment space that connects food and community, it comprises: † an experience kitchen offering cooking, baking and mixology classes, as well as fun, interactive, chef-guided cooking and dining experiences † an artisan market showcasing ingredients, prepped and finished food products from local chefs and food suppliers, interesting and unique specialty kitchen wares a
