the jamaican heritage society is a mission-driven organization dedicated to becoming a trusted resource for jamaican news, cultural and educational information. founded as an effort to promote a positive image of the jamaican community worldwide, the jamaican heritage society is a much-needed resources for jamaicans living outside of the island. through thorough exploration of jamaican history, policy and arts, we will promote a deeper appreciation of the culture, long-lasting cooperation and partnerships among jamaican nationals, leaders and corporations in the united states and the world. the jamaican heritage society is in a unique position, in that it is the only organization of its type within the nyc metropolitan area. though there are quite a few cultural organizations with a caribbean focus, the jamaican heritage society is the only organization that will cater to the needs of jamaicans on the island, in the us, as well as jamaican-americans in the us and the world.
