jbhr publishes historical essays from undergraduates that focus on engaging primary sources and adhere to a standard of writing consistent with a thorough examination of a historical topic. jbhr accepts submissions from undergraduate students at the college of william and mary, virginia schools as a whole, and other nationally recognized institutions. in all things, jbhr maintains a commitment to the high standard of excellence set by the william and mary historical community and contributing to the community of historical knowledge through published works.
