the james l. taylor manufacturing company was founded in poughkeepsie, ny in 1911 to produce to produce a quick-adjusting, self-locking bar clamp. this began a series of innovations that have established james l. taylor as the leader in machinery used in the production of wood products. today, our company is comprised of three divisions: taylor, jlt clamps, and cameron automation. these three product lines are all manufactured in the same building--a recently purchased 100,000 square foot facility just minutes from our original factory. this move has allowed us to expand as a company and improve our manufacturing processes. we are also growing our work force. we're establishing a balanced team of seasoned professionals and ambitious rookies that will continue to develop new technology that will keep our company ahead of the pack.
