Jamie Carl Photography
i am a canberra, australia based freelance photographer. i like to keep my work as diverse as possible despite having a strong interest in automotive photography. i have a burning passion for photography and i am constantly trying new techniques and finding new ways to use photography to create images that are uniquely my style. a brief history i first picked up a camera when i was very young when my father let me use his prized pentax k1000 (a camera that i still love to use today). however, photography remained a hobby and i ended up working in the information technology industry as a telecommunications and software engineer. photography was always there though. a few years ago however, something changed and i started looking at the world very differently. i discovered that i was capable of seeing much more than just what the camera captured and i started ‘making images’, instead of just taking photos. it was then that my hobby became my obsession… recent awards canberra photographer
