jammin’ jenn music therapy, owned and operated by jennifer pacht-goodman, began it’s quest to help children with special needs in 2009. currently the practice is expanding to conduct music therapy with special needs adults as well. our practice currently sees approximately 60 individuals for one on one therapy weekly. the jammin’ jenn music therapy studio is located in watchung, nj (somerset county). in addition, we travel to homes in most areas of new jersey as well as three boroughs of new york (manhattan, brooklyn, & staten island). what is music therapy? music therapy is an interpersonal process in which the therapist leverages music to improve an individual’s quality of life. the value of music therapy to those with autism and special needs is extraordinary and unique relative to other therapies commonly received. music is special in a way that humans universally can appreciate, especially those with autism and other special needs. music is a medium that transforms those subjected
