Jan Bowman Illustration

originally from scotland via canada, i trained as an architect and am now a freelance artist. past clients include royal mail, the bbc, delta airlines, waitrose and the national trust. my illustrated history book this is birmingham is in its second edition. i'm now working on a sister book about glasgow's enlightenment and illustrating a satirical sci-fi chapbook. i also sell my drawings as fine art prints. my work is on show at the portico gallery in sevenoaks in march 2015, and i'm artist in residence at the courtyard gallery, solihull, in june. i'll be demonstrating ipad sketching at art in action this july for the second year. i also give slideshows on drawing and the creation of this is birmingham.
