about janet sayler where did you grow up? "i grew up in jefferson, south dakota. i moved to rapid city in 1970 and this has been my home since." what do you stand for? "i stand for integrity, experience, dependability, knowledge, trust, and hard work. the taxpayers of the county have always come first in my book because it's their money that runs the county." why is your position important to the community? "i'm the custodian of the taxpayers money, deemed with investing and collection of all money for the county. i keep a watchful eye out for the betterment of all taxpayers money in the county, in regards to real estate and motor vehicle transactions." what have you accomplished as county treasurer? "i was instrumental in passing a bill to allow counties to sell tax certificates. what do you plan to change in the future as treasurer? "with the increase of people licensing over the phone, i would like to set up a phone bank where the staff at the windows are not trying to answer
