i’m a solutions-oriented attorney with a passion for serving small and medium-sized businesses. my approach is to get in the trenches with my clients and offer practical advice while keeping an eye on the 360-degree view of their businesses. i cut my teeth in large law firms in large cities, but having my own legal practice means i can work directly with my clients in the way that makes the most sense for them. i work with companies in every phase of corporate life, from formation to sale, and along the way i help clients manage risk, draft and negotiate contracts, and address employment issues and other operational challenges. i quarterback complex transactions, advise on raising capital, and resolve disputes. i work with not-for-profits in furthering their mission. and i can serve as an outside “general counsel” to businesses in my opengc service, with an eye to providing comprehensive legal assistance across the enterprise. viewed most broadly, my practice has five basic components:
