jason's beacon was formed as a nonprofit in texas by the mother, sister, and aunt of one of the seacor power disaster's seven missing crewmen, jason krell. they are a federal 501c3 tax exempt nonprofit. donation link: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=xzfvumauhfe6c they learned through the seacor power disaster that finding individuals lost at sea is extremely difficult and too often unsuccessful. that the vast majority of offshore workers are not provided life saving plbs-personal locator beacons by the companies they work for and the devices are cost prohibitive for many individual workers. until the day that offshore companies are mandated or choose to afford these life saving devices, jason's beacon, through your generous donations, plans to buy and gift them to us offshore workers and encourage them to wear them at all times because we think their life is worth it. plbs work by sending a signal within seconds of being activated to a network of search and rescue sate
