Jasper Place Wellness Centre

a community development organization founded in 2006, we currently have four distinct departments - our community centre, canora place apartments, housing first program, and redemptive developments (rd). jasper place wellness community centre: opened its doors in 2006 aiming to fill the needs of the most marginalized of our community (95% of community centre users were homeless) offering showers, laundry, food, clothing, and advocacy. as of 2014 only 60% of community centre visitors were homeless and many of the visitors view the centre as a resource for making connections to mainstream supports for food, housing, employment, and medical needs. the community centre has over 15,000 visits annually and is funded completely by donations, fundraising, and grants. canora place apartments: canora place operates “enhanced property management”. built in 2011 canora is a 30 unit permanent supported housing facility. rent is 25% below market value to make it more sustainable for residents. resid
