the origin of jaw for many fitness enthusiasts, ripping during bar and rig work is a prevalent problem. kym rayfield, ceo and creator of jaw, faced this same issue. leather grips were the only option at that time, but kym quickly grew tired of how bulky and uncomfortable they were. out of this frustration, she went on to design, create and test out jaw pullup grips for herself. many of her friends and fellow gym members saw the benefits of kym’s grips and the requests started flooding in. in november, 2011, kym finally started to officially sell the grips outside of her initial circle. word got around town about how much people loved them and demand grew exponentially. shortly thereafter, kym took a batch of grips to a local competition and she sold out within 15 minutes. since then, jaw has earned the reputation for having the most comfortable and effective hand grip available. from humble beginnings on the sunshine coast in australia, hunched over her kitchen table sewing the grips a
