we live in societies that are challenged with constant unrest. before there was a pandemic, world health organization (who), classified stress as the health epidemic of the 21st century. around 75%–90% of doctor visits (us) is in some way related to stress. during the pandemic lock-downs, people found solace in the restorative power of mindful activity (bath rituals, wellness, cooking, … etc.). out of the need to combat stress and retrieve a sense of connection, jawnah was born. jawnah is a multidisciplinary design brand revitalizing heritage wellness traditions through an e-commerce platform, innovative designs, and new export markets. jawnah offers a range of premium quality bath and body products in addition to calm-inducing home decor inspired by the ritual of the 'hammam' public bathhouse: a place where generations are brought together in the simple act of ablution. jawnah cultivates a community of like-minded people interested in wellness architecture, design, and lifestyle. - l
