jaws is the journal of arts writing by students, an academic journal published bi-annually by intellect. the journal is entirely written, peer reviewed and edited by current students and first year graduates from universities across the uk and rapidly expanding internationally. we publish research across the art disciplines with a focus on practice as research and the development of a community of early stage research and researchers. as well as events, exhibitions and symposiums around research in the arts, we also run workshops from gcse level up to first year phd on peer reviewing, changing your essay into an article and self publishing. if you would like to write or review for us, or inquire about booking a workshop, please contact our editor in chief frank at frank@jawsjournal.com
