incorporated in january 2006 by a handful of jazz lovers with a passion for the music and everything it represents, jazzboston has touched tens of thousands of lives and helped build a spirit of community across the divides that continue to characterize life in and around boston. we are grateful to all our members and friends for making it possible for our small organization to have such a big footprint. today jazzboston is the only organization serving the greater boston jazz community. with strict money management and the invigorating energy of volunteers, we have built a track record of outsized accomplishments on a very modest budget. our mission jazzboston connects, promotes, and advocates for the musicians, audiences, and venues of greater boston’s dynamic and diverse jazz community. we spread the music and the message of jazz and celebrate boston as one of the world’s great jazz cities.
