junior chamber international (jci) tobago is a body of young active citizens who are creating positive change in tobago, one community at a time. junior chamber international (jci), formerly known as ‘jaycees,’ is a nongovernmental organization that comprises a global network of over 200,000 young active citizens, 18-40, aimed at empowering young people to create positive change and provide sustainable solutions to the many problems that exist in their societies. this global network ignited its fire in the caribbean through the establishment of jci port of spain in 1949. since then, jci has spread throughout the caribbean with eventual establishments in antigua & barbuda, barbados, guyana, jamaica, st kitts & nevis, st. vincent & the grenadines, martinique, and suriname. tobago was not left out, so jci tobago was established as a member of the state of t&t.
