jewish community services is a comprehensive non-profit human services agency of the associated: jewish community federation of baltimore providing a broad range of services to meet the needs of individuals and families in central maryland. jcs was created in 2008 through the consolidation of four existing social service agencies – jewish family services, jewish vocational service, jewish addiction services, and jewish big brother/big sister league – each with rich histories, the oldest of which dated back to 1856. jewish community services offers: • short term consultation services that help people address life’s challenges • career services to find a job, enhance career skills or start a business • mental health services including psychotherapy, psychiatric services and addiction treatment • resources for older adults and caregivers, including eldercare management • services for children and adolescents including counseling and jewish big brother big sister • resources for parents •
